We are what we think

This has been on my mind for the longest time.
We are what we think. I've always believed this, but it's just that sometimes, we get so caught up with day-to-day activities and thoughts and we start to forget the need to filter our thoughts, the need to only let good thoughts flow in our head, and to eliminate all the negative and incessant "what-ifs", "am I not good enough", "why is life so unfair", "why is it only me", etc.
There is only one thing that I should be thinking everyday. And that is, how to become the best version of myself. How to become the person that I want to become? This would not be achieved by thinking of all those negative thoughts, neither can it be achieved by comparing.
We are all unique. We are different. How can we compare when the basis is always gonna be different?
