I've always wanted to visit Lazarus Island, especially after seeing such beautiful pictures of it on blogs. Not much has been heard about it though, and that's really a pity. Because this is how amazing it looks!
To get to this beautiful beach with such clear waters, just hop on a ferry from Marina South Pier. It's a loop service, from Marina South Pier to St. John Island to Kusu Island and back to the pier.
We caught the ferry on a Saturday, at 12 noon. The ferry leaves quite on time, so don't be late! You can refer to the schedule of the ferries here before planning your trip. From St. John Island, there's a paved bridge that brings us to Lazarus. It is really quite straightforward to get there, and you would not need to do extensive research to know how to get there. But you do need to plan what you want to do on the islands, since there are not many facilities or amenities, and the only thing you could probably do without planning in advance is photo-taking. Just go, and snap.
There are not many people, luckily (I really hate crowds sometimes). And we were really blown away by the clear waters and clean beach! Can you believe this is Singapore????
